The word out of the worker’s paradise is that “uneasy is the head that wears the crown.” I’d think the Chinese people would be proud to have such unsullied leadership coming from the Politburo. With missile systems that demonstrably don’t work against American (and allied) aircraft, what is keeping the US from renditioning them like Maduro, or dropping bunker busters on them that fill their mouths like the ayatollah?
Do the common people in China appreciate the struggle (long march) that their overlords have made on their behalf? With the Straits of Hormuz in the hands of the US and its allies, would the US turn off the oil tap if it invaded Taiwan? Would their fleet last longer than the Iranian fleet did? Would US and allied submarines go to town on their merchant fleet and send it to the bottom? How long did it take to lose the Panama Canal, Venezuela, Cuba, and their grip on South America? How long did it take for the US and Israel to decapitate the Iranian leadership and wipe out 5,000 missiles and drones? What of the trillions spent on achieving world dominance? Down a rat hole? Where do they go from here?

A War of Liberation?
Azerbaijan is preparing to invade Iran. About a quarter of Iran’s population is ethnic Azeris, and Azerbaijan has long coveted annexing the region. Their belligerence during the first Nagorno-Karabakh War led Iran to align itself with Armenia. Azerbaijan won the following wars and successfully ethnically cleansed Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh by 2023. During the second war in 2020, Azeris in northwestern Iran rioted, protesting attempts by Iran to aid the Armenians and wanting to join the war on Azerbaijan’s side. Azerbaijan is also closely allied with Turkey and Israel.
Several days ago, the Nakchivan region of Azerbaijan came under coordinated drone and missile attacks from Iran, with direct hits reported on the international airport, a school, and other civilian sites.
In response to this unprovoked aggression, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated in a press conference: “Our armed forces – the Ministry of Defense, the state Border Service, and all Special Forces Units – have been placed at the highest level of combat readiness and are prepared to carry out any required operations… The Azerbaijani people can be assured that any hostile force will feel the might of our Iron Fist.”
The Cuban Offramp
President Trump is turning up the heat on Cuba’s crumbling regime, pushing for an economic lifeline that could finally end decades of communist stranglehold. According to The Telegraph, the administration is negotiating a major package that includes an “off-ramp” for the Castro family and for the current president, Miguel Díaz-Canel. They step down from power without facing exile or prosecution, allowed to stay on the island as the island shifts toward freedom.
This comes after Trump repeatedly declared the regime “at the end of the line” with no money, no oil, and a collapsing economy. He has assigned Secretary of State Marco Rubio to lead high-level talks, signaling serious intent after Venezuela’s regime fell.
The deal would likely ease restrictions on travel, tourism, ports, and energy, injecting much-needed cash while demanding real democratic reforms. No more propping up dictators with American dollars or remittances.
For 67 years, the Castros have starved their people under socialism. Trump is offering a path out, but only if they surrender control. If they refuse, the pressure only intensifies. Cuba’s liberation could be closer than ever. America First means ending tyranny in our backyard, not coddling it.
